Torbay Half Marathon

24 June 2018 - By Langdon Williams

Hi all,

Thought I would let you know that your Devon based 2nd claim member pulled on the Witham singlet today.

I’ll get the excuse out of the way first…it was boiling☀☀☀☀easily the hottest day of the year in Torbay. My plans for a sub 80 minute quickly disappeared on one of the 8 hills and the sun was cooking the runners.

I trotted home in 85 mins and 1 second. I thoroughly enjoyed the bit where you get to run into the sea at the end!

Anyway for the record I came 42nd overall 4th M50.
My Exmouth Harriers club mate Tom Merson retained his title 3rd win in a row in 69:04.

Hope you are all well and racing and training hard!
Oh yes … my friend Bruin loved the race.

Kind Regards
Langdon

Well done Langdon! Getting close to breaking some V50 WRC club records this year if you’re entering as 2nd claim. Looking forward to hearing more about your race adventures soon.
