53-12 Results Great Notley – WRC Retain 3rd Place, Yay!!

Well what can I say other than the club has lots to celebrate at next weekend’s presentation evening. For those who didn’t hear the cheers from Great Notley Country Park, WRC have successfully remained in Division A and not just hung in there. We have successfully finished 3rd in the league , a position which we’ve held since race 2. Wahooooooo!

What a fantastic cross country season it has been and we should all be proud of ourselves. That goes for EVERYONE who has been involved in this season’s cross country from the runners to all the helpers; clipboard managers, supporters, photographers, cake suppliers and all the marshals from today.  We now have a solid base to go into next season which will also no doubt help with our road races….. next up Harwich Road Relays on Saturday 18th March 🙂 I feel very honoured to be Ladies Captain during such a successful period and great team spirit.

Below are today’s results. The ladies came 3rd & the men 4th with overall 3rd on the day. For a change I’m not going into the non-scorers knocking down scorers etc. as it’s all a bit immaterial now. I can only apologise for my slightly sub standard performance and letting runners pass me, but have hopefully now run off my ski legs and the effects of the piste ready for the next club challenge 😉 Well done everyone superb team effort!
