Thursday Night Training – Hills

The Thursday night hill training session is an excellent opportunity to burn off some pre-Christmas calories!! So come along and join in the festive calorie burning hill session. Santa hats and festive clothing are welcome 🙂
James and I will be taking you to the familiar Chelmer/Armond Road loop. Runners will do the usual ‘figure of 8 loop’ using the down hill sections as a recovery. We will be focussing on technique and looking to increase your pace half way up the hill to the top of the hill. Arm movements (rockets/pockets/sockets) and good posture are what we will be looking for.
As always, these sessions are suitable for all abilities and can be used to help you return to running. This session will last 30 minutes after the warm up has been completed. For those who wish to meet us there, we will see you at the pillar box at around 8pm. Otherwise we will see you at the Leisure Centre for 7.30pm.
