Pub runs – The Cross Keys

22 June 2018 - By Stewart Waller

It was a warm evening for our trail run from The Cross Keys in White Notley which attracted a good number of members with 25 of them (the most so far this summer) stopping afterwards for food.

Unfortunately all did not turn out well for Gary and Lois, our hosts. They were awoken in the early hours by two balaclaved low-lifes who had broken in. Facing the Wrath of Kahn (Lois) with Gary not far behind (?) they soon fled empty handed. There are a lot of not very nice people out there. Be careful folks! Incidentally Tilly, my collie, apologises to the chairman for setting off our car alarm during announcements – twice!

Next week it’s The Chequers in Wickham Bishops (CM8 3NN) so a nice flat run.

See you there.
