NESS XC Round 3 – 09/03/20205 – Results
9 March 2025 - By Jodee Mayer

It was a nail biting lead up to the race for a couple of us who thought we might be needed as WRC’s 4th woman, running in our wellies, but fortunately Amy Eyo was seen walking across the field towards us with a few minutes to go and we sighed in relief!
A smaller than usual WRC team, and higher than usual temperatures for WRC, didn’t dampen our cross country spirit – but as numerous people said it was hot, and hilly, out there.
There were some epic finish straight battles – and Angela W had a bit of a sore throat from screaming at our runners even when, perhaps, the chasing runner wasn’t quite as close as she was making out…
Team Results
Our men finished 3rd today and our women in 5th – we have clung on to 2nd place, but are now joint in that position with our rivals Great Bentley who had an excellent day today despite being the hosts.

Next event
The 4th and final NESS XC round is at Gosfield School on 23 March – details to follow in due course.
Will will be taking the NESS reins for the last fixtures, and whilst we appreciate that this is very much closing in on marathon season, we would LOVE to field full teams and cling on to 2nd place if possible.
We don’t usually ask for sign ups for NESS races, but if you intend to run could you please comment below or on Facebook so that we can check we have full teams – thank you!!
