Brighton Marathon Weekend results
15 April 2018 - By Steve Hennings
Well done everyone – I think Scott Darney can write an in depth race report for the Braintree & Witham Times as our intrepid Press Officer was there in person, delivering a great PB and GFA VLM time.
Thomas Ashley started the day off well taking a chunk of time off his 10k PB.
In addition to Scott, Tanya Cregan is still getting over the shock of her time (a shock to her, not her Strava followers/stalkers!) and getting the Good For Age time for next years VLM.
Sean Darney didn’t quite have it in his legs to better his Chelmsford Marathon time of last year, but still ran a great time of 3:12:00
With Sue carrying a bit of an injury recently, today’s time for the dynamic duo is a great reward for some very hard training, well over 20 mins faster that their runs last year in Mont St Michel.
Today marked the end of Dawn Shilling’s epic challenge of 12 half-marathons in 12 months, finished off with the Brighton Marathon.
Anthony Smith ran a PB, and finally, a special mention must go to Sylvie Bullen-Bell on completing her first marathon!!
