Braintree District Council Community Grant

I am delighted to report that we have received a grant of £1400 from Braintree District Council under their Community Grants scheme.

The club has being growing at quite a rate in the last couple of years and with it, we are now doing more things such as hosting the Essex Senior XC Champs, and the new May Day 10 race. With this growth comes more ‘needs’.

The grant will allow us to hopefully keep pace with those needs and has been earmarked to help with bolstering our coaching team, the purchase of new start and finish sails, additional race equipment, as well as some other options.

Despite our session being cancelled yesterday, DJ and myself traveled to the football club to meet Councillor Gavin Maclure (you may recognise him!) who presented us with the cheque.
