South East Inter Counties Cross Country – Horspath, Oxford

Rachel Sweatt was proudly representing Essex (and Witham RC) in the inter counties cross country champs. Anyone who knows Rachel will know of her love for cross country and hills, so this race delivered both with glee!! The final team result was Essex ladies in 4th place, and Rachel finishing the 6k course in 24m 3s to come in 16th place

Sunday

Southend Rudolph 5mile Run

Two member were in beautiful Southend, the summer retreat of Rudolph apparently, to complete the 8th running of this 5 mile race. 1st home was Sandy Karl in a new PB of 41m 18s, followed by Helen Came in a time of 50m 4s

Telford 10k

Mark Finbow, who heads up the Surrey chapter of Witham RC, was in “historic” Telford (which was 50 this year) for the 10k, bagging a new PB in a time of 33m 49s

Not The Flitch Switch Trail Race

The trail runners were out and about having the choice between the 9.5 and 5.5 mile self navigated routes in the Not The Flitch Switch trail race.

‘Rayne’deer Run

Also down on the Flitch Way was Sylvie Bullen-Bell seeing just how far she could run in 3hrs, with the answer being an impressive 17 miles especially given the turbulence her antlers caused in the wind.
