June 2026 CMOTM

A gigantic congratulations to June’s CMOTM – Chrissy Israel! Chrissy has had an incredible couple of months. After achieving a marathon PB at the Halstead Marathon, she went on to take on her very first 50-mile trail ultra. On an exceptionally hot day, she showed amazing determination and resilience, completing the race in 14 hours and finishing as first female. Completing 50 miles in those conditions was a real team effort, and crossing the finish line made the achievement even more special. Away from racing, Chrissy is a familiar face at our Summer Pub Runs, always turning up with a smile and helping to make them such an enjoyable part of club life. She also generously gave up hours of her time volunteering at the Sundowner Marathon, supporting runners and giving back to the club and the wider running community. Whether she’s chasing personal achievements, encouraging others, or volunteering her time, Chrissy consistently embodies everything that’s great about our club.

Well done to our other nominees for June:

• Claire Lucas – For her performance at the Bolton 70.3 Half Ironman. In what was only Claire’s second triathlon she took on the half Ironman distance and all the hard work and training paid off when she finished in 6 hours 40 minutes.
• Dean Whittaker – Dean is a regular parkrun volunteer and runner. He recently completed the gruelling night Sundowner Marathon. He is also a regular club night attendee!
