Race Results – w/e 24th Feb 2019

Tarpley 10 – somewhere in Suffolk.
Saint Edmunds Pacers organise the very popular 10 & 20 miles races each year which quickly sell out. We had one member Andrew Read running the 10 miler, finishing in a time of 1:29:35.
St Peter’s Way Ultra – Chipping Ongar
The St Peter’s Way Ultra follows the 43 miles footpath meandering through the countryside of Essex, from Chipping Ongar to the ancient chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall at Bradwell on Sea.
You get enough misery to last a lifetime running one Ultra, so why would you want to keep putting yourself through the same thing? When you see Matt Jordan and James Blackshaw hobbling around in the next few days you can ask them yourselves. Matt came in 11th place with a time of 6:48:25, with James in 13th at 6:53:47 (quite a bit quicker than last year).
Jason Lilley I will cut some slack. He joins the ranks of other WRC 40 something guys having a minor midlife crisis and choosing to run their first ever ultra. Jason came home in a time of 9:51:27 and is apparently still fast asleep in the front seat of the car as Natalie didn’t want to wake him up when they got home.
