Results 29/10

30 October 2023 - By Natalie Lilley

A busy weekend of running, with a Parkrun takeover at Maldon – well done everyone! – and the first NESS XC fixture.

The black & gold were out at a variety of other events over the weekend – thanks to everyone that submitted their results!

Top Day Events Halloween Trail

Steven Alder, Clarice Anderson and Lysia Jiggins braved torrential rain on Saturday night for this narrative trail race. The conditions made direction following very difficult, and with visibility worries the trio took the sensible option to return to base after 6 hard miles –  still a brilliant effort!

Dublin Marathon

The Collins twins returned to Dublin, where Fiona managed to take a whopping 17 minutes off her PB!

Fiona Collins – 4:16:18 (PB)

Claire Collins – 3:57:42 (PB)

Stort 30

James Blackshaw and Dean Whittaker braved the mud of this riverside ultra, both claiming prizes in their age groups.

James Blackshaw – 4:52:42 – 1st MV40

Dean Whittaker – 5:31:21 (PB) – 3rd MV45

The Stickler

Adam Hocken travelled to Dorset for this 10.1 mile multi terrain race involving over 1500 feet of climbing! He finished in 2:15:12
