Elsewhere, there were a couple of minor races going on…

 

Great North Run

Approx 60,000 runners took on this massive half marathon, which runs from Newcastle to South Shields. 7 of those had made the journey up to represent WRC, with great running by all.

Special mention to Steven Wherrett, who managed a PB (by over 3 minutes, if my calcs are correct), and finished 157^th – out of 60,000 people! 🤯

The Big Half

We had 2 runners out in London at this slightly smaller half (only 25,000 😊), with both Dan and Josh achieving course PBs – well done, both!

Muntjac 15

For those preferring a trail “half”, the Muntjac 15, hosted by Trail Boss Running, gives you 1600 feet of elevation, over 15 miles of Danbury trails.
