Great Bentley Half Marathon Results

16 WRC members took on the popular Great Bentley Half Marathon in near perfect conditions conducive to PBs. 8 of our runners took that literally clocking up shiny new PBs. The course loops round the countryside surrounding Great Bentley in a fast flat figure of 8 route. The marshals were enthusiastic as always offering lots of encouragement and keeping tight control on the runners. I have sent a thank you to Great Bentley Running Club on behalf of the club.

Chris Martin was out first runner home smashing the 80miniute barrier in an impressive new PB of 1:19:33 with Mark Finbow, Heydon and Dave Campbell closely on his heels. It was definitely the boys turn to shine today. WRC was thin on ladies with only 3 running for the club today Anita Grainger was our first lady home breaking the 1.50 barrier in a new PB of 1.49.40.  Well done all full results & course map below, I have included age group placings. Graham Eyre was our highest placed in age categories coming 3rd, next race is our final XC fixture on 19th Feb.
