Basildon Essex XC league results

On Saturday 5 Witham men headed south to Basildon for the Essex XC league at Gloucester Park. The senior men’s race was the last to be run and the course had been turned into well trodden muddy grass with some short sharp hills.

Leo Cole was the first Witham man home in 76th place followed by Mark Austin in 142nd and Bill Smythe in 143rd. Dave Jobling was next home in 163rd being closely chased by Graham Eyre in 164th.
