Essex Way final instructions

Liz Prior and Natalie Lilley will be manging our leg and the teams for us this year. If you have any problems on the day and can’t finish you leg, please let one of them know or me if you can’t get hold of them. We can then let the organiser of the leg you are running know. Message me if you don’t have their contact details.
You must carry a mobile phone
On arrival for your leg, find the leg organiser and get ticked off the start sheet, please arrive in good time.
Please ensure you have your team number on your club vest so it can be seen when you get to the finish.
End Leg 3 / Start Leg 4 Parking. From organiser, parking is very limited, paddock used previously is not available.
There is no room in the village for parking without blocking the church and resident’s drives. We must not park in the church car park as the service is at 11am. We need to keep the village happy with us which they have been for many years so that our event can continue.
So my suggestion is this:
If you are coming from the Chelmsford or Braintree direction along the A131 turn off at the roundabout for Little Leighs and the Church. Immediately at the T junction you will meet the old A131 which is where you can park along the road. It is then a 10/15 minute walk (or less if you warm up) to the start of the race, so allow plenty of time. If you are leaving a car at the end the end of leg 3 at Little Leighs please also park where suggested.
Finish – Leg 10
As to some of the important parts of the Essex Way – social activities at the end! Piseas fish and chip shop are expecting us. They normally close at 7pm but have said they will stay open until 8 so best to make it a priority. https://en-gb.facebook.com/PieseasChippySpams/
