Ekiden Relay Sunday 14th July
24 June 2019 - By Bill smythe
Dear All,
Thank you for entering the Ekiden relay. Many of you will have taken part before so will know what a great event this is and I am sure our first-timers will enjoy the set-up and the fantastic team spirit.
The address of the venue is:
Woodbridge School
Burkett Road
Woodbridge
IP12 4JH
Bill and I cannot make the relay so your captain on the day will be Tom Ashley.
If you are running 1st or 2nd leg please ensure you arrive in good time. The race starts at 10.20am so you will need time to pin on your number, maybe do a warm-up and be there for the race briefing explaining how the change over box works. Also, if you are bringing the gazebo (last year was very hot and sunny so this is advisable) you will need to be there before 8am to set up.
Water will be available for the runners but bring your own supplies to keep yourself topped up. It has been very hot the last couple of years.
Also remember to bring your garden chair and a picnic – a barbecue, refreshments, bar and ice cream will be available on site – please do not bring your own barbecues.
Unfortunately the school changing rooms will not be available this year but Jaffa are hoping to provide a changing marquee.
One very important request, dogs are not allowed so please leave your four legged friends at home and take them for walkies later on.
The link below provides full details of the event but if you think of anything else, please speak to myself or Bill prior to the event or Captain Tom on the day.

Remember to wear your club vests! Good luck to everyone and enjoy the day.
