Essex Road Relays

We had several teams over in Harwich for this event, please see Will Smith’s separate post for the results.

Brentwood Half Marathon

We had a good representation down in the land of fake tans and small dogs in handbags. Only the second running of this event on the new course, with last year’s event being cancelled due to inclement weather.

Rich Green 01:35:40
Graham Eyre 01:56:02
Ross Silverton 02:10:14
Anthony Smith 02:14:12
Haydeh Safavi 02:15:02
Sylvia Bullen-bell 02:18:23

Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon

There were plenty of black & gold down at the “Don’t Get Your” Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon. Much of the course was along muddy towpath, and the route was apparently exposed to the elements.

Anita Grainger 01:56:30
Marie Summers 01:55:03
Karen Flowers 02:10:51
Sue Shippey 02:11:20

Windsor Duathlon

Sandy Karl took part in the Windsor Duathlon yesterday. The event was comprised of a 5km run, 20km bike, and another 5km run. It was Sandy’s first duathlon, but she continues to impress, coming 8th in her category!

Bath Half Marathon

Langdon Williams was running down at the Bath Half, and managed a fantastic 1:21:13, finishing 11th out of 756 runners in his age group.

Mad March Hare 10k

Angela and Andrew Read ran this event at Coltishall Airfield, both PB’ing, and coming in at 1:07:31 and 50:39 respectively.

Toppesfield 10

Messrs Smythe and Lager took part in Essex Trail Event’s Toppesfield 10 trail race, with Andy finishing in 1:25:26, and Bill coming home in 1:26:17.

Well done everyone! Let me know if I’ve missed your race or result.

Thought for the week: “There are only 10 kinds of people in the world: Those that understand binary code and those that don’t.”

  1. Andrew Read Andrew Read says:

Angela and I ran the Mad March Hare 10k organised by Coltishall Jaguars at Coltishall Airfield under the WRC banner. NB both PB’s!
