Pub runs – The Jolly Sailor

5 June 2019 - By Stewart Waller

I don’t ‘do’ social messaging but I’m told by somebody who does that one or two members considered Tuesday evenings run from The Jolly Sailor to be the best pub run so far this summer. Great news especially as it was the first time that we had used this pub. Prevailing weather conditions might have dampened the enthusiasm of some to turn up but nevertheless 22 stayed on for food plus others for drinks and it was good to see the pub well supported.

I suspect that next Tuesdays venue, The Cross Keys in White Notley (CM8 1RQ), will also be popular as it offers the chance for a spot of trail running although there will be the option of a road run if weather conditions are a bit iffy.

The car park at the Keys is not huge but we have been given permission to use the village hall car park which is situated on the right just up the hill from the pub heading towards Black Notley. A special runners menu is being laid on so, as usual, it is hoped that you will take advantage of it.

See you there.
