MD10 – to the volunteers…

The race is run, many PB shouts were heard as runners crossed the line, and some great feedback so far.

So whilst I sit and write this slightly glowing with wind-burn, I am also glowing with my gratitude towards each and every person who played a role in the build-up and during today. I know that some roles might appear more ‘sexy’ than others, but it really is a team effort and it takes all of the functions to work to ensure the day goes successfully.

So whether you did one role or several, you are all my heroes! I was so pleased to see several new faces volunteering, and I really hope you enjoyed the experience. If anyone wants to play a bigger role in one of our future races, we will be happy to get you more involved and show you what is involved. As we had a reasonable number of non starters, we are left with some T-shirt’s which I will bring along tomorrow for anyone who helped out.

I have already written a list of about ten things I want to improve or change, and I am happy to get your feedback as well.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your bank holiday and thank you so much again.
