May Day 10 volunteers

Hi everyone,

Firstly a massive thank you to all those who have so far put your name down to help on May Day 10. Having your names so early has helped a lot with planning.

We still need around another ten volunteers to help to ensure that the event can run as smoothly as possible and ensure there is coverage should anyone have to pull out. These cover a variety of tasks and as I haven’t finalised roles yet, I should be able to accommodate preferences for early/late roles.

Following on from the new membership policy, our race committee has been discussing the idea of awarding a ‘volunteers’ t-shirt to members who meet certain criteria for helping out. We haven’t quite ironed out the details but we envisage that helping out at May Day 10 and Boxing Day 5 are likely to be two of the qualifying volunteering opportunities to get the inaugural WRC volunteers t-shirt.
