May Day 10

I’ve just opened entries for our May Day 10 race which this year will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May. Just like BD5, we can’t host our races if we don’t have the support of our members. I know that around 50 people kindly volunteered on Boxing Day but that still only represents less than 25% of our membership, and was less than the ideal number to ensure everything runs optimally. Therefore, we would prefer all our members not to enter our own races unless they are either able to supply someone else to volunteer in their place or are able to volunteer for the ‘early roles’ like car parking or course or HQ setup before running.

Obviously it’s too early to start collecting volunteers now, but if you’re interested in taking on one of the ‘section’ leadership roles on the day, please let me know.
