JR 5k Race 2 – 30 May 2024 – final instructions

1. The next JR 5k race is on Thursday 30 May 2024.

Time:

We do not have access to the track until 8pm, but we will be in the cafe at around 7.40pm for registration. Please bring your bib from the first 5k if you have it, if not I will bring some others.

If you want to warm up before 8pm please do not use the track.

The race will start at approx 8:10pm – we have the track booked until 9pm and this should allow most, if not all, to complete the 5k.

Venue:

Colchester Gateway, Cuckoo Farm Way, Colchester, CO4 5YX.

There is car parking on site – parking is free but you need to enter your registration number into one of the tablets in the main building. Do not forget to do this, there is no way to rectify it if you forget. If you can offer a lift, or need a lift, please comment below or on the Facebook page.  Car sharing, as always, is encouraged.

Volunteers: 

We have had a huge number of volunteers – thank you.  It may mean a quiet night for our lap counters depending on the number of runners we get!

Course:

5 laps of the 1km loop as per the picture below (this is without the bit with the slight incline that was part of the Essex Road Relays!). It is about as flat as you can get.
