JR 5K Handicap 16 July 2026 – Volunteer instructions

Course set-up:

Please arrive at the Angel by 6pm where you will meet Jodee and be provided with everything you need.

Registration/Timekeeping:

• RD – Jodee Mayer
• Registration and Timing – Sarah Naughton & Beth Shippey – arrival by 6.40pm

Course marshals:

Meet first at Race HQ between 7 and 7:15pm, where once all of your marshal point team have arrived Jodee will brief you and give you your high-vis vest and wire cutters.

Please note – the below is subject to change on the night so please do ensure you are briefed by Jodee before you head out!

• Marshal Point A – Amy Eyo and James Montgomery
• Marshal Point B – Angela Read and Andrew Read
• Marshal Point C/Water Station – Kerry Townsend and Dionne Radley
• Marshal Point D – Mike Struthers and Oliver Radley
• Marshal Point E – Ian Lucas and James Attenborough
• Marshal Point F – Mark Austin and Liz Stuckey

Please get onto your course position before 7:30pm (as you’ll trip over the runners otherwise).

Please car share to get to and from your marshal point.

The task is to direct runners around the course, warn for cars and collect signs (a list will be provided – please do take the signs off of the stakes after this race) and bring back to Race HQ after the last runner (and take photos if you can!).
