John Roberts Summer 5k – Race 4 Times, Handicap & Series Results

It was a warm evening in Kelvedon for the grand finale and handicap race in the John Roberts Summer 5k Series on our fast (and dry!) course which again attracted well over 30 member runners and continued the excellent 2019 attendance and support from right across our membership base both on and off the pitch over the 4 races.

We welcomed recent joiners for their debut run on the course and there were many great runs, good times and a new course record as well!

Congratulations to our winners Vicki Riley and Ross Silverton in the handicap race with the series trophies going to Ruth Mizon & Pete Riley. The first junior was Callum O’Connor and congratulations also to David Hunt on a fantastic new course record of 16.51. Pictures appearing in the Gallery soon.

Many many people to thank for last night and over the series, special thanks to our Race Director Bill at the first 3 races and also to our big team of helpers last night – Monty, Theresa, Rachel P, Liz Stuckey, Sasha, Aimee, Brigid, Graham, Simon, Giles, David G, Marc and of course his magic results spreadsheet. And also our hosts at The Angel who accommodate us for these events.
