John Roberts Race 3 on 29th June-volunteer sign up

It’s that time of the month again, and we are now ready for our 3rd and final qualifier for the John Roberts 5k Series, taking place on Thursday 29 June 2023. You know the drill-final details will be posted a couple of days before, but registration and food orders is between 18:45-19:15, as it’s a 10 minute walk/short warm-up jog to the start line, with the race starting at around 19:30.

A reminder to bring your numbers with you again. Please also note that this is your last chance to qualify for the handicap-so if you haven’t run your 2nd John Roberts race yet we encourage you to come down, we need at least 2 times to calculate (by we we mean clever excel formulas) your handicapped start time. If you are new/haven’t run the John Roberts yet, you are welcome to run this race still, you just won’t be able to participate in the handicap July 13th finale.

Volunteer help needed

We can’t run these events without our amazing volunteers- assisting with course setup, at race HQ and marshaling the route. Club championship points are always awarded to these angels.

Timings for the various roles:

• Course Marshals – need to be out on the course before 19:30
• Registration volunteers – need to be at the Angel (Kelvedon) by 18:40
• Course Setup volunteers – needed from 18:00 for course setup at The Angel
