Green Dragon pub run
28 April 2019 - By Marc Underdown
After a long winter, our pub run series is back, hooray you say! A big thank you to Stewart for arranging the series.
As usual, we are pushing the light a little in the first couple of pub runs. Therefore I will start the announcements at 7:30 sharp and not include all the information I normally do which can be found on the website.
I also strongly recommend you continue with high viz clothing as it could be gloomy towards the end of the run. If you have a head or hand torch, it would also be recommend to use that.
For our newer members, the pub runs are a great way to socialise with other members and build friendships. Therefore we encourage you to stay behind for a meal or a just a drink if you can. This is also a great way to give something back to the pubs who allow us to take over their car parks and use their facilities.
Most of the pubs ask for food orders and payment before we set out. The routes allow us to see different parts of the surrounding countryside and there are some lovely runs. Parking can be an issue at some of the pubs so we strongly recommend car sharing.
Hope to see lots of you on Tuesday – I’m sure there will be some London marathon runners enjoying the pub while we run!

Marc, did you come to a decision on whether we could bring the dog on the pub runs? We can cover the insurance angle ourselves but we don’t want to do it if members feel it’s not appropriate. Comments from other members therefore encouraged….Sue
