Club Member of the Month – September

Club Member of the Month for September is Liz Prior.

After great dedication to a tough training plan, Liz had great performances in the Brighton Marathon and St Peter’s Way ultra, just 2 weeks apart. Liz almost called it a day at 16 miles of the 43 mile St Peter’s Way ultra, but finished with a smile on her face.

We had a number of excellent performances in September, resulting in a raft of worthy nominations. Congratulations to all our other nominees!

Hayley Ellen – For completing her first ultra-marathon of 43 miles and coming first lady at the St Peter’s way Ultra.

Simon Scott – For his performance at the Pleshey Half Marathon where be won a County Bronze Medal for his fantastic run

Adam Regan – For his performance at running Brighton Marathon and then running an ultra 14 Days later

Sarah Naughton – For completing the Brighton Marathon in a pb of 4 hours 57 minutes

Jenny Layley – For being a supportive and encouraging running mate for 43 miles and not letting Jodee quit half a mile from the end.

James Crisp – For his joint first place at the Coast to Coast Run which involved – Run 7 Miles/Bike 76 Miles/Run 13.1 Miles/followed by a Kayak section

Gavin Laws – for coming 3rd place at St Peter’s Way Ultra
