AGM and Committee

At the AGM on Wednesday 9^th March, we will be electing the new committee and will be looking for volunteers to join and help run your club.

Any member of the club can be elected to join the committee and you can put yourself forward for any role. If you would like to put your name forward for a position on the committee this needs to be done either in writing prior to the AGM or verbally at the AGM to the club Secretary, Liz Stuckey. You can also use the form below. You will need to ask a current member to propose you and another member will need to second you on the day. If you have any questions please speak to myself, Liz P or any other member of the committee.

A role on the committee is for one year until the next AGM with committee meetings held every 4-6 weeks.

Some of the committee will be standing again for their current roles and some will be standing down so we will need someone to fill those roles.

Standing Down

Kit Secretary – purchase, storage and supply of kit
Press Officer – press updates (training given)
Mens Captain – organising team events and Cross country (working with Ladies captain)
Ladies Welfare – welfare point of contact for female members
Social Secretary – arranging annual awards dinner & dance, plus other social activities

All of the various roles on the committee are outlined below.

Chair – chair committee meetings. Tuesday announcements
Vice Chair – support and stand in for chair
Secretary – all formal correspondence, meetings, minutes, EA affiliation. First formal point of contact from outside of club
Treasurer – all things financial, club accounts etc.

Social Secretary – arranging annual awards dinner & dance, plus other social activities
Coaching Co-ordinator – coordinates all coaching activities
Membership – point of contact for new members
Ladies Captain – organising team events and Cross country
Mens Captain – organising team events and Cross country
Ladies Welfare – welfare point of contact for female members
Mens Welfare – welfare point of contact for male members
Webmaster – manages & updates club website
Fixtures & Results – weekly results, club championship and statistics
Kit Secretary – purchase, storage and supply of kit
Press Officer – press updates
