Annabelle Reed

It is with immense sadness that I have to inform you that Annabelle Reed passed away on Tuesday morning. Annabelle had been a member of our club since 2005. In recent years we mainly saw Annabelle on Thursday nights where she would often join us for the effort session after finishing her shift working at the Leisure centre.

Annabelle enjoyed the team events and has been part of our teams in the Essex road relays on several occasions, and she also particularly enjoyed the Ekiden relays. She was there last year with her partner Steve, and there are some lovely photos of Annabelle in the gallery from that day. She also enjoyed running in the summer 5ks or coming along to allow her son Mallory to take part.

Those who knew Annabelle will I’m sure remember that she always seemed to have a smile on her face even when she was running. She will be missed in the club, and one of the first jobs for the new committee will be to look into ways to honour her memory. Our thoughts go out to Steve and her sons Casey, Oakley, and Mallory.
