Results 22/3/26

23 March 2026 - By Natalie Lilley

Another busy race weekend, with several HMs and another 20 miler for those getting close to the end of marathon plans.

Brentwood Half

Apparently, I would love this race due to the vast number of toilets provided. Sounds like a plan for next year (although it’s very close to my birthday!)

Wilmslow Half

Only two out at this England qualifier HM. Owen Dare produced an outstanding performance, that once again qualifies him to run for England, while also getting a PB and breaking his own club record.

Name Time Comments
Owen Dare 1:20:41 PB, Club record, 2nd MV60, England qualified!
Lee Tooey 1:40:48

Palma Half (33a 1/2 Marató Ciutat de Palma)

Adam Hocken took on this coastal half in Mallorca, which he completed in 2:18:39, which coincidentally was about how long it took me to locate the official results page.

Wymondham 20 Miler

We had a trio of runners out at this 20 miler hosted by Wymondham Athletic Club. Well done to Chrissy, who got a PB, and to Shane for his first 20 mile race! And to Monty, returning to this race for the first time in 15 years.

Position Name Chip Time Comments
385 James Montgomery 03:18:10
428 Christine Irael Jones 03:32:16 PB
451 Shane Ketterige 03:38:13 First 20 mile race!

Zach’s Devil Steps Trail

This was a 7.3 mile ETE narrative trail race. If the name is any clue, I’m guessing there was some elevation involved. Terry got a bit lost, and also told me he finished 4th, so a confusing day all round.

place name time Comments
3 Terry Alabaster 01:24:00 3rd place even with an extra mile!
13 Chris Beazeley 01:46:05
14 Nichola Beazeley 01:46:15 3rd female

Reading Half

Oliver Radley completed his first half marathon in Reading, in an impressive 1:45:29. Well done Oliver!

Well done, everyone!
