Thursday 8th May – Speed Development – 60/60’s

- What: Speed Development 60 second repeats/60 second recoveries
- Where: Football Pitch at Maldon Road Park (Behind the Cricket pitch / what.three.words meeting point: hothouse.enormous.utter).
- When: 7:30pm meet (please do a warm up jog of approximately 1 mile before meeting time)
A nice simple effort session this week.
This session will help improve your cardiovascular fitness, increase calorie burn, help build muscle endurance and elevate your metabolism for hours after the workout – what’s not to like!
We will start the session with some warm up drills.
The session will comprise of efforts of 1 minute with 1 minute recoveries, repeated 15 times.
Each rep should be run hard and, as a guide, slightly faster than your 5k pace. However, if you are racing at the weekend, please keep the effort comfortable.
If you can, please program your device, although we will use whistles during the session.
We will finish the session with some stretches.
