South Down’s Way 100
Gavin Laws took on the heat and the hills in a Herculean effort that saw him running 100 miles across the South Downs Way, climbing over 12,500ft along the way. He completed the course in an incredible 22 hours and 59 minutes, and was helped along by Matt Jordan, who paced him for last 34 miles. Incredible work fellas! You wait ages for a WRC member to run 100 miles, and then we get two in two weeks!
Run the Res
Julia Bacon was at this trail half-marathon race around Abberton Reservoir (‘Abberttoir’) on Sunday, and completed the course in 2:42:40. Great work Julia!
Belhus Woods XC
Terence Alabaster and Ross Silverton were at XC race, which is the 2nd event (I think) in the Essex 10k Cross Country Series. Terry finished in 49:22, and Ross finished in 1:00:44, coming first in his age category. Splendid efforts gentlemen!
Stagger Home
That man Alabaster was at it again, this time with 3 of his WRC pals, at this 5.7 mile race hosted by Essex Trail Events. Great stuff lads!
