Vets XC
It was the second (?) Vets XC race of the season last weekend, and we had a very decent turnout from WRC. For some reason, the organisers didn’t feel the need to split out the women’s results into age categories in the same way as they do with the men’s race. So, for example, Anita’s 79th position was against all of the other female runners, whereas as her position would have been much higher if the results were shown within 50+ (which is how the men’s results work). Yes, there were physically two separate races for the men, but even so, it takes 30 secs to filter an excel sheet so that the male and female results are aligned. You’d think by 2021 we’d have sorted this out. Anyway, rant over, great work everyone that ran!

St Edmunds Trail 50k
Clarice Sanderson took on this 50k ultramarathon in St Edmunds finishing in 6:43:44. Excellent work Clarice!
Raynedeer Run 21
Lysia and Paul Jiggins took part in the 3hr version of this race, and Paul finished the half marathon in 2:37:45, and Lysia finished 10 miles in 2:29:56. In the 6hr event, Ben Roberts got to 19.68 miles in 3:27:14, Luke Harper did half marathon distance in 2:00:01, and Jodee Mayer capped off a 3.28 mile run in 34:43. Smashing stuff everyone.
Night Elf Trail
Sound pretty Christmassy. Unless the elves were attacking you with machetes in the dark. I’m assuming not though, as Geoff Reddin, Andy White, Sue Smith and Julie Bacon took part in this race and lived to the tell the tale.
11th – Geoff Reddin – 1:22:40
12th – Andy White – 1:22:42
27th – Sue Smith – 1:31:20
33rd – Julie Bacon – 1:44:42
Thanks,
JB

Myself and I believe others ran in the Vets XC.
