Outrun 24

Last weekend saw the hosting of Hare & Tortoise’s Outrun 24 event. The run comprises doing as many 2.5 mile loops as possible for either 12 or 24 hours, and WRC had several members entered in various formats.

24hr Solo Male – Pete Banks – 62.5 miles – 9th in Category

24hr Solo Female  – Sasha Rush – 45 miles – 3rd in Category

24hr Team of Four – “Gerry’s Pacemaker’s” – Gerry Greenwold, Brigid Wallen, Terry Alabaster & Andrew Read – 132.5 miles, 1st in Category

24hr Team of Four – “In It To Gin It” – Jodee Mayer, Sarah Naughton, Rebecca Jayne & Libby Woodhull – 77 miles, 1st in Category.

12hr Pair – “Team Lilley” – Natalie Lilley, Jason Lilley – 40 miles – 1st in Category

12hr Solo – James Hopegood – 27.5 miles – 11th in Category

12hr Solo – Jonny Kempster – 17.5 miles – 13th in Category

 

Great work everyone, fantastic efforts in what I understand was pretty tough terrain.
