A few festive themed runs this weekend, and almost all trail, with several Santa suits on display 🎅🏼

 

Winter on the Downs

Ian Cuthbert took on this 55 mile ultra marathon on the trails of East Sussex. Despite the windy conditions and endless hills, Ian finished in a PB time of 13:34:40 – although there are no official results up at the time of typing, the organisers engraved this time on Ian’s medal, so I think we can accept it 😊

 

12 Woods of Christmas

There were 5 mile or 3.5 mile options for this MEC festive narrative trail.

Terry Alabaster complete the 5 mile course in 52:23

Adam Regan and Liz Atkinson completed the 3.5 mile option in 59:02 and 59:04 respectively.

 

Santa 5k Run (Chelmsford)

Steven Alder donned his Santa suit for this 5k fun run hosted by Farleigh Hospice. He completed the slightly short course in 24:20 (Strava time).

 

Raynedeer Run

There were many distance options available at this popular H&T lapped event, from 10k (morning or afternoon), HM and Marathon, or a  full 6 hours timed option.

6 hour:

Jodee Mayer fancied the long-haul, and completed 6 laps, or 19.68 miles in 4:23.

10k:

Sarah Naughton completed 10k in 1:23, and Anne Radovcic also took on the 10k, finishing in 55:56 as overall Female 10k winner!

HM:

Lysia Jiggins completed the half marathon distance in 2:26:53
