Results! 4th May 2025
5 May 2025 - By Will Radley
Big congratulations to Shane Ketteridge, who took on the gruelling Lakeland Trails Staveley Half Marathon on Saturday, finishing in 3:37:43. Shane described the course as “absolutely brutal,” with a savage late-stage climb known as the “Sting in the Trail.” Top effort, Shane.
Well done also to Adam Reagan, who smashed the Milton Keynes Marathon today in 3:40:01—taking over 20 minutes off his previous best. A superb result.
A massive thank you to Steve Alder, our Race Director, and all the volunteers who made this year’s May Day 10 such a standout success for the club.
May Day Witham results (gun to chip). A small issue with the chip timing on this one so these may change slightly, which I will of course update.

BONUS! The Maldon Mud Race
As if the weekend wasn’t already packed with grit and glory, we had two standout performances at the iconic Maldon Mud Race. Huge congratulations to Henry Crates, who stormed through the sludge to take 2nd place overall in the men’s category, and to Vicki Riley, who dominated the field to finish as 1st lady. This notorious event is as much about mental toughness as it is physical—wading through thick estuary mud over a 400m course in front of thousands of spectators isn’t for the faint-hearted. Brilliant work both!
