Having had no races at all last week, we’re back to a busy weekend (and week) of racing, mostly on mud/trail!

 

Dark Hart

This was a mid-week Essex Trail Events narrative trail of approximately 5 miles, depending, apparently, on how good at following narrative trail instructions you are.

Maverick New Forest 21k

Louis Kitchener was out on the trails in the New Forest, finishing the Long Route (21k) in 1:54:35, Well done Louis!

 

Benfleet 15

This notoriously tough 15 miler was summarised by members as “mud, wind, hills and more mud”.

Some cracking performances nonetheless!

Peddars Way Ultra

Harry Solomon was out getting his regular ultra fix –  advertised as 48 miles along the Peddars Way from Norfolk to Suffolk (or maybe the other way around?).  He completed the course (actually measuring 50 miles!) in 8:56:05. Well done Harry!

 

And last, but by no means least, we had the NESS race 4 at Wix, hosted by Harwich Road Runners.

Considering this was a fairly flat course, most people who ran it proclaimed it one of the hardest XC courses they’d run!  Please see the separate Captain’s post for the team results; individual placings as follows:
