A weekend of incredible racing, and I’ve been absolutely inundated with results submissions, which is really appreciated, thank you 😊
Two big events which were, as ever, well supported from the sidelines as well.
Essex 20
A great showing from WRC at this County Champs race at Debden Airfield. Well done to those obtaining PBs, and congratulations to Heydon Mizon for a County silver medal, Owen Dare for County Gold, and for beating his own club record by nearly 5 minutes, and Claudia Baba for a new club record by over 10 minutes!!

Other results, by increasing distance* from Witham!
Lysia Jiggins and Clarice Sanderson were in Mersea for the ETE Mersea Mix (8.5 miles), finishing in 1:55:13
Maggie Mason was at the Milton Keynes 20 miler, achieving a PB in 3:19:57.
Gavin Laws was in the Chiltern countryside, for the Centurion 100 hills 50k. I don’t know if there were 100 hills, but there were approx. 4000 feet of climbing in total. Gav finished in 5:21:14, an impressive 63rd out of 385 runners.
Jamie Davidson completed the Rome marathon in a fantastic PB of 3:02:02
Taking things to extremes, Ben O’Leary decided to enter the Pauanui 10k, while on holiday in New Zealand. Having signed up the night before, he managed to “somehow” (his words!) finish 21st overall, and 3rd in his age category, in a time of 50:11
