5 February 2024 - By Natalie Lilley

I think there was only one fixture this weekend, but it was a big one, with a huge turnout from WRC. There was also plenty of non-running support from our members – well done and thank you to all of our supporters and photographers 😊

We had over 30 runners, with some incredible performances, despite really windy conditions. Special mentions to Owen Dare, who broke his own 60-65 club record by a minute and a half,  Will Radley with a PB of almost 5 minutes and a top 10 finish, and Sian Tate with a 15 (FIFTEEN) minute PB – what a massive improvement!

There’s still time to submit any missing PBs via the results submission form, before they get read out tomorrow 😊

Final mention goes to James Attenborough – possibly the excitement of his 100th Parkrun on Saturday was too much, as he collapsed at the Bentley finish line and had to receive medical attention. He assures me he’s absolutely fine now and, most importantly, managed to stop his watch on the way down. Thanks to all the members who looked out for James and made sure he was ok.

🖤💛♥️

Thanks Ian – I’ll update you! If you could submit PBs via the submission form generally, it would make my life a lot easier 🙂
