Virtual Ekiden Relays

Despite sounding like some sort of online Japanese fighting game that only nerds would be into, turns out ‘Virtual Ekiden’ was just like normal  Ekiden, but virtual. WRC were extremely well represented at the event, with 8 teams of 6 people, across 7 different categories.

Outstanding performances aplenty, but special mentions to: Chris Martin and David Hunt, who were both in the top ten fastest runs for the 7.2km out of 362 runners; Mark Austin, who was the 3rd fastest 10k runner in his category; James Crisp, Giles Sowerby, and Pete Riley for coming in the ten fastest 5k runners in the male vets cat, with JC coming 2nd.
