Spitfire Scramble 2019

2 January 2019 - By Danny Connor

Hello All and a very Happy New Year!!

Last year 2 teams assembled for the annual Spitfire Scramble which is a 24-hour endurance event held at a World War 2 airfield in Hornchurch. The event is being held again this year on the 13th – 14th July and is exactly what it says on the tin, 24 hours to complete as many loops of a 5.7-mile course as possible. This can be done as a solo, duo or in teams of between 3-5 or 6-8.

Last year saw WRC have 2 teams of 8 compete and we all had a great time (even Dave Hunt enjoyed it). So if you fancy a challenge, a bit of camaraderie and the chance to get away for 24 hours then please let me know as I will start putting teams together for the event. I believe there is a couple of duos already in training!!

Details can be found here http://www.spitfirescramble.co.uk/

If you would like to join a team or would like more information please comment below or speak to me directly.

Many thanks

Danny
