parkrun – 15/11/2025

16 November 2025 - By Steven Alder

It’s been decided that we will make a weekly post on where Witham RC members have been for parkruns each week. So if you’d like to add anything interesting, or have a milestone coming up (or know someone who does) then please let me know. Also, to make things easier, you can add Witham RC as your club on your parkrun profile (info at the end on how to do that) where you’ll appear on the consolidated club report on parkrun’s website.

Joe bumping into familiar faces at Roundhay.

Witham RC were being represented at the following 14 parkrun locations: Finsbury, Maldon Prom, Roundhay, Sandgate (Australia!), Chelmsford Central, Clacton Seafront, Clare Castle, Great Notley, Mersea Island, Catford, Markshall Estate, North Walsham, Battersea and Millennium Country, Forest of Marston Vale parkruns.

The most popular location this week was Markshall Estate, with 10 of our runners heading there, including Adam Hocken finishing dead on the 24 minute mark.

Here in Essex we had Will Radley complete Chelmsford Central parkrun in 17:13 and was the first person over the finish line, grabbing the Position 1 token, whilst we had a few Layleys visiting slightly further afield in Sandgate over in Brisbane, Australia. Looks like the weather was slighlty different in the land down under!

James Attenborough was over in London and visited Catford parkrun, completing a hungover 5k in 27:42, with the only motivation to do the run was to do the parkrun there because extreme tourist Steven Alder (who completed a parkrun in the mouthful name of Millennium Country parkrun, Forest of Marston Vale in 27:58) hadn’t done that location yet. Elsewhere in London was Leo Cole completing Finsbury parkrun in a palindromic time of 21:12 (his first time at this location for his 448th parkrun) and over at Battersea parkrun was Chris and Nichola Beazeley, completing it in 24:53 and 27:00 respectively.

I don’t think Ian Lucas had the same weather at Mersea Island (Essex) as Sandgate (Australia)!

Speaking of ultra tourists, another member who likes to go visit various locations is Geoffrey Reddin who completed his 227th different parkrun over in North Walsham in a time of 24:17.

If you have any parkrun milestones or achievements coming up soon, let me know so I make sure to include them in future posts.

The full set of results of the various parkruns on the 15th November 2025 by Witham RC members can be found here.

parkrun tip of the week

If you’ve signed up for parkrun and complete them, why not add Witham RC as a club on your profile? You’ll be showing off Witham RC in the results page of that parkrun, we’ll be able to see what other members of the club have been at various parkruns and you’ll appear in the consolidated results page. Clicking here will take you to the parkrun website where you can login to your profile and add us. You can join up to 5 groups, one of which can be your primary group.
