Essex Marathon & Half Marathon
We had a number of runners at this Essex Marathon & Half Marathon. Some great results throughout, but deserving of a special mention is Peter Coates, taking on his first ever marathon and managing to go sub 3.

Peter Coates – 2:53:23 – 23rd
Half Marathon
Rachel Dingley – 1:50:29 – 148th
Ben O’Leary – 1:50:30 – 150th

Brightlingsea Challenge
This was another of Hare & Tortoises’ excellent 6 hour lap challenge events. We had a good spread of runners aiming for different distances, with the girls all getting 20+ miles in the bag, while Mr Lilley ran two laps for the half marathon and then polished off a Mr Whippy.
Sarah Naughton 26.2 miles
Jodee Mayer – 26.2 miles
Sasha Rush – 26.2 miles
Natalie Lilley – 20 miles
Karen Flowers – 20 miles
Jason Lilley 13.1 miles
Great work all!

South Down’s Way 50
I was at this Centurion Running event on Saturday, a “50” mile run (only actually 49), with 6,500ft of elevation, over the South Downs, finishing in 9hrs and 12 minutes.
Dave Wright 15
Leo Cole ran this event in 1:46. Great work.
Well done everyone!
Please let me know if I’ve missed your race or result.

Hi James
I ran the Dave Wright 15 mile event on Sunday at Langham. I was only planning to run at 7 minute mile pace and just about did that, finishing in 1.46.00. It was a 2 lap event (runners could do 7.5 miles instead). Good route taking in parts of the old Essex 20 course (with some bits in reverse) and including 4 toughish hills per lap.
Cheers
Leo
