Virtual Ekiden 2021 Teams

4 July 2021 - By Natalie Lilley

Thanks to everyone who’s signed up for this year’s virtual Ekiden. Teams are listed below, plus we have a couple more already registered, so a great turn-out for WRC this year!

As a reminder, races must be completed between Friday 9th and Sunday 11th July. Each team needs to complete: 1 x 7.2k leg, 2 x 10k legs, and 3 x 5k legs.

If you would like to discuss with your teams to decide who does each leg, and let us have a team name, that would be great – please message Adam or Natalie, or post below, or on the FB post in the next couple of days. If you would rather leave it to us to allocate leg distance, we’ll do so before Thursday, and post an update (although we won’t be thinking up team names!)

There will be a post with virtual race instructions before Friday, or you can see the details for yourself here: https://www.ipswichekiden.co.uk

  1. Ian Lucas says:

Thanks Nat/Adam. What’s best way to get in touch with my team-mates as I don’t have all of their email addresses? Ian

  2. Natalie Lilley says:

Hi Ian. I’ll send a group email for your team copying you all in. Look forward to hearing your thoughts 🙂

  3. John Lloyd says:

Sorry to say, I’m just coming back from an injury. The most I could do is 5k if possible, if not I’m happy to drop out and let someone else fill in .

  4. Natalie Lilley says:

Thanks for letting us know, John. We’ll leave you in if you’re sure you don’t mind, as we don’t have any reserves at the moment. But obviously please let us know if you don’t think you can do it.

  5. John Lloyd says:

5k is totally fine Natalie thank you
