Tuesday Social Run 630s -9s (DJ’s Trail): Meet @ The Angel, Kelvedon, 6:30pm

17 April 2021 - By James Attenborough

This week we will be meeting at at the Angel in Kelvedon. There is limited parking at the pub, so please park on Kelvedon High Street or just off it where you can.

There are again two options available, the road route (5.2miles) is the normal road route from the Angel, so for those that know it, will know that it’s not one of our more rural routes so you may prefer the trail this week.

The second is DJ’s Trail (6.5miles) where the GPX link is below. The trail is firm dusty trail footpaths, bridle ways and tracks with no more than 1M of it on road. Road shoes should be fine although trail shoes maybe if you have them for a bit more traction here and there. Please take care on Church Hill over the level crossing on the way out and before it on the way back. You will need to be in single file on this section as there is no pavement. We will stagger the groups accordingly.

Please familiarise yourself with the routes beforehand. If you get lost another group shouldn’t be far behind. Please select your preferred pace and whether you want road or trail and buddy up accordingly in groups no bigger than six on the night.

The Angel is open and we have four tables of six reserved. Please adhere to current government guidance if attending the run and the pub after. Obviously this will subject to availability and will be first come first serve (and subject to the elements) so you therefore may wish to book your own table outside. I believe there is food available, so if you want food you may wish to order your food prior to your run with a sit down time of 7.30pm ish.

If you want to come along to the run, you will need to complete the form below. Just fill in your name, check the box to confirm the health screening and disclaimer and submit your entry. When you have submitted your name successfully it will appear in a list at the bottom of the post. Please sign up no later than 4.00pm on Tuesday.

If you are new to Witham Running Club please drop me or Karen Flowers a message through this link:

https://www.withamrc.org.uk/contact/ so we can collect your details ahead of the run.

If your elected pace isn’t chosen by others, please move up/down a pace.

Tuesday 7:30+ Group
I have read the WRC 'Return to Club Activities - Health Screening & Disclaimer' document and am able to answer 'No' to questions 1-4. I accept that all training is undertaken at my own risk and that it may be necessary to breach social distancing if medical treatment is required in an emergency. *
