A return to some group running
England Athletics issued guidance for a return to group running on 17th July following announcement by the Government. We have reviewed the document and the committee will be meeting to discuss how and if we can implement the guidance and ensure members stay safe.
The Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee
The WRC runners are starting to arrive in Tennessee and one has decided to run back. Well done everyone, as of yesterday. Pete Banks arrived in 66 days, Karen Flowers 79 days and Gerry Greenwold in 80 days. The rest are hot on their heels.
EA weekly 30 run challenge
The EA weekly 30 continues with 5 members running. WRC finished 10th this week and remain in 12th in the overall team scores. You can still sign up and join the WRC team, it’s just 30 minutes each weekend. Details in post.
Summer 5k race series – race 3
Race 3 of the summer 5k series and Rogue Front Door 5k. See website for details.
Strava art continues with no theme until Friday 24th We have elephants, Alpacas and Goats so far. Check out the post for rules and further details.
Spell that Word
Week six of the virtual Tuesday challenge “spell that word” using street signs. This week’s word should be enough to have you thinking about the final sentence. Full details on the FB group.

Essex Way Relay
Whilst this has been cancelled the organisers are arranging a virtual event to run throughout September. See post on FB to register your interest.
