Prioritise Your Running
Life is better when you get your run in so make it your top priority. Trust me, everything else will go better.

A return to some group running

Informal group running with a maximum of 6 people continues with the running buddies, if you want to run in one of these smaller informal groups whilst maintaining social distancing please speak to Liz Prior or myself.

Fantastic work by everyone, especially as the route was a bit muddy after the heavy rain. Well done also to James Douglas and Danny Conner who had to pull out around the half way mark.

The Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee

With just 2 weeks to go and the WRC runners continue to arrive at the finish line in Tennessee. What a great achievement. Well done everyone.

Dave Staines Funeral

Dave’s funeral is taking place on Thursday 20th August at 2.30pm at Horndon at SS Peter & Paul Church (Post code SS17 8NT). Due to the restrictions imposed because of Covid 19, only 30 people will be able to attend the service. It has been suggested that a ‘Guard of Honour’ in memory of Dave be formed (with consideration to 2m social distancing and only small groups of max 6) along the road to the Church gathering at around 2.15pm. Dave was a fantastic servant for the County promoting athletics and he will be greatly missed. It would be fantastic if as many clubs around Essex are able to support this bringing along their club vests to hold up as the funeral cortege passes to display a really colourful tribute and a show of appreciation from all Essex clubs that Dave so ably supported and encouraged over the years.

Strava Art

Strava art part 3 continues. Check out the post for further details.
