Track 5k Results

- A brilliant evening at the track last night for our joint 5k time trial with Braintree District Athletics Club. Big thanks to BDAC & Simon Mennell for inviting us and allowing us to put this event on.
- Big, big thanks to all the marshals on the night: Danny Connor, Ann Johnson, Liz Stuckey, Brigid Wallen, Claire Gordon, Simon Mennell, Mark Austin, and to our time keepers Roger and Fozzy. Special mention to Liz Prior, who had the unenviable task of recording the times across both races. Also to Jodee Mayer, Sarah Naughton and Karen Flowers, who helped the set up for race 2. Takes quite a few people to make these events happens, so massive thanks to everyone who gave up their time.
- Results below, split by race. Some great performances, in particular Peter Coates 16:15, and Heydon Mizon, who broke his own club record with 17:07. Apologies to Raoul Grantham and Andy White, who both ran an extra lap due to a miscount by the lap counters. I’ve tried to extrapolate the time you would have run for 5k distance. On the plus side, you both got more value for money than anyone else.
- I’ve noted the PBs I know about, but please let me know if I’ve missed any.
