Tomorrows efforts session – Hills!

Details for tomorrows infamous ‘Maldon Market Hill’ session. This is as it would suggest a hills session, hills aim to improve overall strength and running endurance, making us stronger and achieving those PB’s and conquering any hill that looms in front of us!

So for the finer details; this is a 30 minute continuous session where you will run in your usual pace groups (moving up or down groups depending on injuries and weekend races I hear there is one locally!) moving up the hill with effort and utilising the down hill as your recovery. This is a great session to focus on our technical point of the night which is arm movements. Effective arm movement in running helps to drive your legs forward especially up hills, DJ and I will get you to focus on your arms being at right angles, driving backwards and being close to your torso.

Lets meet in the far end of the Maldon Tesco carpark for our briefing and dynamic warm up before we jog to the bottom of Market Hill, DJ and I will be positioned at the top and bottom of the hill for encouragement. Please remember your high vis vest and a warm layer for after the session as predicted temperatures are approximately 4 degrees a drink for a post race refreshment recommended.
