Return to Running 630s-9s Groups
23 March 2021 - By James Attenborough
Further to Karen’s post earlier in the week and In line with EA & Government guidelines and if Step 1 in the Government’s roadmap goes ahead, we will also be able to return to running in buddy groups again on Tuesday March 30th.
Shamelessly plagiarising both Karen’s post and idea we are also doing a series of routes starting on March 30th and continuing through Spring. These will be predominantly trail routes organised by members of our FB messenger group. If you would like to be added to this group please let me know. Alternatively if you don’t have FB messenger please keep an eye on the website for times and dates of meetings etc.
We will meet up in car parks that can facilitate us and where we can safely socially distance, but we will be starting from there in groups of 6 so as to follow EA & Govt rules. If you are within a short distance of any of these venues I ask that you make your way there by foot so that we can minimise the number of cars. Please do not car share though.
The routes will include additional add-ons where possible but will be between 5-7 miles in distance. GPX files of the routes will be added where possible. Therefore it will be preferable for a group leader of the relevant pace to have a GPX compatible watch.
As before, we will require you to confirm whether you will be running in advance, via a sign up form at the end of each week’s post. We will run in groups of six and as these are social trail runs, we will organise the groups accordingly as to pace/numbers etc.
As before, we will meet at 6:30pm.

Hi James, can you please add me to the FB messenger group? Do I need to see if pace is compatible first or can I sign up for any run?
Thanks, Celine Elson
